  • New TPA coming to the US-You just can't make this s**t up

Here is the info on the company believed to be moving into the US market place and going head to head with Safelite.
They are supposedly Belrons worst enemy in Canada and gobbling up market share from them at an alarming rate.
From what I understand, they are supposed to be the lesser of the evils, but time will tell.
In Canada, they allegedly reimburse at better rates than the 'other" TPA's.
They claim to base their reimbursements on brick and mortar, certifications, and the look and feel of the glass shop. (Beware trunk slammers)

One thing I read on their website that is particularly bothersome, is they will refer more to a shop based on the shops chip repair ratio...oh, I mean key performance indicator.

This appears to be the same company believed to be purchasing eDirectglass for their technology and ability to bill insurers directly.

Hey Rocker, are you sure this is the company and not Windshield Centers?

It fits Windshields centers business model, and I believe that is what they want as well.
If you look at the make-up of WC's management, I believe that is fairly obvious based upon their signals.
I believe that there are a few things that are yet to be announced before AGW and the upcoming year.
      New TPA? or TPA's?
      eDirectglass being sold?
Everyone will just have to wait and see.
My money is still on Uniban for a big announcement.

Cycle-time to get an insurance company to commit to a 3rd-party program takes years. Unless Uniban, or anyone else for what it's worth, has already secured insurance business in the US, I doubt we will see any new TPA. The closest existing model that could re-invent itself would be Windshield Centers because of its relationship with JN Phillips.

Big announcements are like rear-ends in that everyone has one I bet the biggest news out of Auto Glass Week is no news at all
