  • Safelite Solutions Remittance Issues Causing Problems

    GlassBuzz has been receiving communication that Safelite Solutions may have trouble making payments this week. One shop, based in Phoenix, Arizona, said they have $100k in receivables outstanding and have only been paid on a very small portion of that. When this shop contacted Safelite Solutions, they were told that an Oracle update over the weekend has caused them to not be able to make payments as they normally do.

    There does appear to be some technical error according to this email sent this morning:
    Sent: Thursday, June 12, 2014 8:00 AM

    Subject: EDI Remittances


    I wanted to let you know that there is a delay in getting remittances out to our vendors. This past weekend we had a Financial System upgrade & this resulted in transactions being held until after the upgrade was completed. Safelite is in the process of getting the payments released & the remittance reports sent out.
    I apologize for the delay in this process along with not getting this notice out sooner.

    A few other sources have said that people they have talked to at Safelite refer to this issue a "glitch" in the system that has to do with an upgrade. Apparently notifications have been sent out to those that are on direct deposit.

    We are unable to establish what the payment policy is with those that have signed network contracts, but many are complaining that they are used to a two day electronic payment cycle.

      Ok so the shop that was owed 100,000 surely that was not supposed to be paid over the weekend......
